NORTHBROOK, Illinois – August 1, 2024 –
Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. (Bell) recently exhibited at the 2024 IFT FIRST®: Annual Event and Expo held in person from July 15-17 inside McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
Hosted by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), IFT FIRST®, one of the nation’s largest business-to-business food innovation expos, featured 1,000+ exhibitors and brought together food scientists, R&D teams, dietitians, entrepreneurs and other professionals from around the world for three action packed days of extensive learning, opportunistic networking and exploring transformative innovations.
Along with a social media challenge and spotlight on global flavor collections, Bell booth #1506 showcased flavor forward food and beverage creations embodying their global Spark – Ignites Creativity, Inspires Senses® program once again. New this year, attendees were able to take an exhilarating journey to experience flavors from around the world, right in the comfort of the tradeshow floor.
“As part of Bell’s ‘New Horizons’ Macro Trend, the concept of ‘globetrotting’ has taken on a whole new meaning. With tighter budgets yet a powerful desire to travel and immerse oneself in vibrant cultures, consumers crave global exploration by unconventional means. We fully embraced this concept and introduced ‘Passport to Flavor,’ bringing global flavors straight to attendee tastebuds without unwanted jetlag or airport security lines.” – Kelli Heinz, Vice President of Marketing and Industry Affairs

A new confection was also showcased daily as a ‘sweet treat’ and included Day of the Dead Crystal Candy Skulls (Marigold, Tangerine & Honey Flavors), Sicilian Pistachio Truffles (Coffee & Sicilian Pistachio Flavors) and White Peach and Sakura Candies (White Peach & Sakura Flavors).
“According to Stylus’ 2024-2025 Future Flavors Forecast, 75% of global consumers want to discover new flavors. This year, we delivered on that calling, bringing novel tastes to attendees via comforting, familiar concepts. Snow cones, for example, are a classic summer treat, but when you add a culturally inspired syrup, it elevates the experience and expands multisensorial taste horizons.” – Justin Kozlowski, Vice President and Commercial General Manager, Flavors Division
